Jose García de la Guia has been working in the IT sector at the port of Valencia for 20 years.
Since 2007 he’s been working for the Valencia Port Authority in Spain, in the last year as the IT Manager and before that as the port community system manager.
Before that Mr Garcia worked for the Valenciaport Foundation from 2004 – 2007, where he managed the creation process of the port community system, valenciaporpcs.net, and several research projects in the field of IT applied to logistics.
In the period from 1998 – 2004 Mr. Garcia worked for Infoport, an IT services company, where he held a number of positions including project manager, technical director and general manager.
Mr García earned his bachelor’s degree in telecommunications engineering from the Valencia Polytechnic University in Spain. He holds an MBA from INEDE Business School – Valencia Catholic University in Spain.
